Durham Avicultural Society invites you to attend

The Durham Avicultural Society’s 2010 Annual Bird Show on September 18th and 19th Ajax Community Centre

DAS members will set up the hall on Friday, September 18th beginning around noon.
The ................... is offering visitors to our show a special room rate. A single room will be $119.00 per night or a double room will be $124.00 per night. This discounted rate will only apply if they receive your room reservation by August 18th, 2010. Please specify that you will be attending the DAS Annual Bird Show when placing reservation.
Exhibitors may bring their birds on Friday, September 17th but will not be entered until Saturday morning from 7:00am to 9:00am. ENTRIES CLOSE AT 9:00AM. Judging will begin promptly at 9:30am to be sure to arrive early to enter your birds.
Our doors are open to the public... on Saturday, September 18th from 12:00 noon until 4:00pm, and on Sunday, September 19th from 10:00am until3:30pm. Admission is $5.00 per adult, $3.00 for Seniors and $3.00 for children under the age of 12 years.
There will be a barbecue for the lunchtime, coffee cold drinks etc.
Our Pet Bird Show will take place on Sunday and birds may be entered between 10:00am and 12:45pm, with the judging taking place at 1:00pm. Please try to enter your bird early to avoid any line-ups.
Sunday at 3:30pm, the winners of our Giant Raffle, 50/50 Draw and Silent Auction will be announced.
Judges Type Canaries, Borders, Fifes - Glosters, Norwich and Yorkshire Canaries - Colour Canaries - Lipochome - Colour Canaries - Melanin - Finches and Softbills - Zebra Finches - Hookbills - Budgerigars -
PLEASE NOTE that DAS members who wish to receive a Show Catalogue for the 2010 DAS Annual Show MUST place a request for one from any Executive Committee member. Catalogues will NOT be sent out to any member who does not place a request to receive one!
