DAS Proudly Supports the Canadian National Show

~ ~ ~ ~   We did it again!   ~ ~ ~ ~

In 2006, when the Canadian National Caged Bird Show was held in the east, Durham Avicultural Society was pleased to present the host club in Ottawa with a cheque in the amount of $500.00 to help with the expenses of their show.

This year, the Canadian National Caged Bird Show is being hosted by the Budgerigar and Foreign Bird Society (BFBS) in Richmond Hill.  At our May meeting our speaker was Dahlijah Rahm, President of BFBS, and Durham Avicultural Society was proud to present her with a cheque for $500.00 to assist with expenses for their show.

We also hope that everyone will support the National Show by volunteering their help in whatever way they would like, and by attending the biggest show of the year... the Canadian National Caged Bird Show.

Thank you, Dahlijah Rahm, for a very interesting and informative presentation on your trips to New Orleans as a rescue volunteer after Hurricane Katrina.  It was a pleasure having you visit us again to update us on what has been happening since your last visit.
