Our auction was a great success!

We would like to thank everyone who participated in this annual fund raising event.  Whether you donated items for the auction, assisted in setting things up, helped with the running of the auction, or bid on some of our items, YOU were what made it a success and we thank you!

Special thanks to John Zerafa for once again taking on the sometimes difficult job of auctioneer.

We would like to make special mention of Laurence Tan who generously donated more than a dozen hand-raised lovebirds to DAS for this event, and Jeremy Faria for his donation of a pair of Fife canaries.  Jeremy is a member of our sister club BFBS which is holding the Canadian National Bird Show this year in October.  Mark Hagen again sent in a large donation of various bird foods, and Odyssey Distributors brought in two cases of spray millet and two containers of Necton vitamin supplement. 

Of course, we appreciate all of the DAS members and friends of DAS who were kind enough to donate items to our auction.  These are the people who helped to make it such a wonderful and successful event!

At this auction meeting, John Zerafa was presented with a Certificate of Life Membership to the Durham Avicultural Society.  We were pleased to be able to indicate to John what all of his hard work and help over many years has meant to our club and its members.

Thank you, John, for everything you have done over the years to help make DAS what it is today.  We appreciate it!
